The activities of the Chicago Development Fund are managed and directed by a two-board structure - a Board of Directors and an Advisory Board. The boards meet at least once per quarter during the first month of the quarter. Day-to-day operations at CDF are managed by the Department of Housing and Economic Development (HED) staff with the support of S. B. Friedman & Company, an independent consultant.
Board of Directors
CDF is governed by a Board of Directors, which is chaired by the Commissioner of the City of Chicago’s Department of Community Development. It is responsible for managing the overall business and affairs of the corporation. All sitting members are City of Chicago officials and serve in an ex-officio capacity. Advisory Board
The CDF Advisory Board ensures that CDF maintains its commitment to low-income communities as required by NMTC regulations. As such, at all times, at least 20 percent of the Board’s members must be representatives of low-income communities. The Board’s members are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council to serve two-year terms. Meet the Advisory Board >>
