Meetings
CDF's Advisory Board generally holds regular quarterly meetings generally on the second Friday of January, April, July and October. CDF's Board of Directors also generally holds regular quarterly meetings generally on the fourth Friday of January, April, July and October. In addition, meetings of these bodies are called as necessary to consider and approve transactions.

CDF provides $12.5 million in New Markets Tax Credits to Instituto Health Sciences Career Academy to renovate and expand an existing building into a charter high school with a health sciences and college preparatory focus. Students will have the option of graduating with certification in nursing, health administration, or health technology in addition to a high school diploma. The building, located at 2520 S. Western Avenue in the Little Village neighborhood, is being renovated and built out to a 100,890 SF LEED certified facility that will house 600 students.
December 2010
CDF provides $11.2 million in New Markets Tax Credits to Radio Flyer to help rehabilitate and reconfigure a 68,000 sq. ft manufacturing supporting R&D center that provides an outdoor “playlab” for product testing. This 100 year-old building will be revitalized into a LEED-Silver rated, cutting-edge space that will provide 30 new jobs and bolster a company that has been located on Chicago’s west side since 1930.
November 2010
- CDF provides $20 million in New Markets Tax Credits to the Salvation Army to help construct a 160,000 sq. ft community center and outdoor recreational facility in West Pullman. This LEED-Silver certified building will create 65 new full-time and 185 part-time jobs and provide an increased range of educational, recreational and social opportunities available to residents of low-income communities on Chicago’s far south side.
- CDF provides $7.1 million in New Markets Tax Credits to Testa Produce, Inc. to help construct a 91,200 sq. ft. wholesale distribution warehouse facility. This unique building, located at 45th and Racine, will achieve a LEED-Platinum rating and contribute to high-quality new industrial development in the Stockyards.

CDF provides $6.5 million in New Markets Tax Credits to PCC Community Wellness Center in order to finance the Austin Family Health Center, an 18,300 sq. ft. federally qualified health center in Chicago’s Austin community. This LEED-Silver certified facility provides improved access to medical, dental and social services for low-income and/or uninsured clients
