Empowering communities through service and culture
CDF invests in community facility projects that that enrich the City’s cultural environment and increase the level of services available to Chicago’s Low-Income Communities.
CDF funds community facility projects that:
Involve new construction or substantial renovation, with total real estate costs in excess of $5 million
Have identified other sources of funds for 75-80% of project costs (debt, fund-raising, grants, etc.)
Have solid operating histories and stable sources of operating revenue
